In the fourth installment of the Transfer series, Dr. Bondarchuk examines contemporary application of the principles of Transfer. An analysis of track and field disciplines through the lens of the team sport strength and conditioning practioner is offered, focusing in on the dynamics of adaptation in physical preparation. This includes an examination of periodization models used in the Soviet Era, their application in current training models, and errors in how they are applied. Examination of models from the icons of the world of athlete development are placed under the microscope, and expertly dealt with through the eyes of the grassroots coach.
